"You're crazy": Adele accidentally confirms long-running rumour

<p dir="ltr">Adele has reignited a long-standing rumour about her relationship status during her concert in Las Vegas. </p> <p dir="ltr">During her residency show on Saturday night, one excited concertgoer jokingly proposed to the iconic singer, with the moment being captured on video by another fan. </p> <p dir="ltr">Adele, 35, replied to the fan's tongue-in-cheek proposal by saying, "You can't marry me. I'm straight, my love, and my husband's here tonight," referring to her partner of two years, NBA agent Rich Paul, 41.</p> <p dir="ltr">The female fan asked Adele if she'd be willing to "try", to which the singer quipped, "No, I don't want to try! I'm with Rich... you're crazy, leave me alone."</p> <p dir="ltr">The clip of the moment was then posted to TikTok, as fans flocked to the comments to speculate if she was joking about her relationship status, or if she had married her partner in secret.</p> <p dir="ltr">Since the pair first started dating in July 2021, they have attracted a slew of marriage rumours. </p> <p dir="ltr">She last addressed the rumours in 2022 in a candid chat with <a href="https://www.elle.com/culture/music/a40803238/adele-interview-elle-september-cover-2022/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Elle</a> magazine, in which she said "I'm not married. I'm not married!...I'm just in loooove! I'm happy as I'll ever be."</p> <p dir="ltr">The couple first met at a mutual friend's birthday party and immediately hit it off.</p> <p dir="ltr">"I was a bit drunk," Adele revealed in a 2021 interview with <a href="https://www.vogue.co.uk/arts-and-lifestyle/article/adele-british-vogue-interview" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Vogue</a>. "Magical": Ed Sheeran crashes wedding after cancelled Vegas concert

<p>Ed Sheeran, the man of the hour, recently pulled off a surprise move that left a wedding chapel feeling less little and a lot more magical. After recently being forced to <a href="https://www.oversixty.com.au/entertainment/music/ed-sheeran-fans-left-devastated-moments-before-show" target="_blank" rel="noopener">scrap his Las Vegas gig</a> due to some venue woes, he stumbled upon a teeny spot he couldn't resist: The Little White Wedding Chapel.</p> <p>In a moment that's now etched in matrimonial history, Sheeran couldn't resist the urge to crash Jordan and Carter Lindenfield's intimate wedding ceremony. And boy, oh boy, was it a surprise!</p> <p>The couple were just about to say their "I dos" when up popped Ed Sheeran like a musical jack-in-the-box. Strolling in with an acoustic guitar and a gang of backup singers, ready to serenade the lovebirds with his upcoming single, "Magical", the jaw-dropping, starstruck expressions from the bride and groom said it all.</p> <p>After Sheeran finished crooning his heart out for the tearful duo, they sealed the deal with a kiss and the all-important certificate-signing ritual. But here's the kicker: Sheeran himself became an official witness to their nuptials, sheepishly admitting: "This is the first time I've been a witness."</p> <p>As if the entire affair wasn't surreal enough, Ed took to Instagram to immortalise the moment, captioning it with the understatement of the century: "Crashed a wedding, this is Magical."</p> <p>The fans, always ready to hop on the Sheeran bandwagon, couldn't contain their excitement in the comments section. Some were so swept away by the thought of Ed showing up at their own weddings that they contemplated tying the knot, fiancé or not.</p> <p>"I never wanted to get married, but if this could happen, I might reconsider," one fan playfully quipped. Another enthusiastic soul chimed in, "You can crash my wedding too! No date set, and I'm still looking for the fiancé, but hey, baby steps."</p> <p>This isn't the first time Sheeran has indulged in his wedding-crashing whims. In 2015, he made headlines by gatecrashing a wedding ceremony in Sydney, courtesy of a local radio station. They had organised the dream wedding for a couple who had faced some serious hardships, so Sheeran decided to sprinkle some stardust on their special day.</p> <p>Fast forward to the present, and Ed's spontaneous wedding performances are still going strong. This latest magical moment came hot on the heels of his Las Vegas concert cancellation. He had to break the news to fans just an hour before showtime. But he then went on to assure everyone that the safety of his fans was his top priority. "I really am gutted," he confessed, but promised that the rescheduled show on October 28 would be nothing short of spectacular.</p>

Ed Sheeran fans left devastated moments before show

<p>Ed Sheeran has been forced to abruptly cancel his show in Las Vegas, just hours before it was set to begin. </p> <p>The British singer-songwriter, who is coming to the end of his Mathematics World Tour, broke the news to devastated fans on Sunday, saying he was "so sorry" for the last minute cancellation. </p> <p>Sheeran wrote on Instagram, “I can’t believe I’m typing this but there’s been some challenges encountered during the load in of our Vegas show."</p> <p>He continued, “It’s impossible to go forward with the show. I’m so sorry. I know everyone has travelled in for this and I wish I could change it."</p> <p>“The gig will be postponed to Saturday October 28th and all purchased tickets will be valid for that date. I’m so, so sorry x.”</p> <p>Fans were quick to express their disappointment, with many saying they had travelled to attend the show and weren't able to come back for the postponed gig. </p> <p>One fan wrote, “I can’t believe we travelled all the way to Vegas 10 hours to see Ed Sheeran for him to cancel less than an hour before the show."</p> <p>“My poor husband a disabled vet along with so many people standing waiting on 103 degree heat to be turned away!!! I can’t come back in October, and no refund!!”</p> <p>Many demanded an explanation as to how the gig could be cancelled at such short notice, to which Ed took to Instagram again in the hours after the cancellation to shed some light on the issue. </p> <p>According to his statement on Instagram, the show was cancelled over safety concerns when two tall towers, used to hold up the stage and lighting equipment, had become unstable. </p> <p>Despite best efforts to restabilise the structures, the issue then travelled to the safety of the floor, which was set to hold 65,000 concertgoers, and the whole show had to be cancelled. </p> <p>Adding to the explanation, Sheeran wrote,  "I really am gutted, this was very much out of my control but I do take full responsibility for everyone that was put out from the cancellation. Of course refunds are available at point of purchase, and there is a rescheduled show October the 28th if people still want to come, I promise it will be special."</p> <p>"We really thought the show was going to happen up until the very last moment but it just couldn’t for safety reasons. "We did it!" Mystery behind Fifi Box's wedding dress unveiled

<p dir="ltr">Fifi Box has been spotted in a wedding dress and veil while holding a bouquet in Las Vegas, leaving many to believe she has tied the knot. </p> <p dir="ltr">While on a work trip, the radio host and her co-host Brendan Fevola and Nick Cody went to see Adele perform at her resident show in Vegas. </p> <p dir="ltr">In order to get Adele’s attention, Fifi dressed in wedding attire and made a sign, despite having no intention of getting married. </p> <p dir="ltr">Explaining the stunt on their radio show on Monday morning, Fifi explained, “We went to Adele last night, Fev and I did have to try and get her attention. So that was the mission, can Adele speak to us.”</p> <p dir="ltr">“We know that halfway through the show she walks through the crowd and chats to people, and what we had noticed in a lot of news stories was that it’s people who had signs or had just gotten married.”</p> <p dir="ltr">Last week, the radio team had put a call out to their listeners to ask for suggestions on how they should get Adele’s attention at the show, with one person suggesting they dress up and act as newlyweds. </p> <p dir="ltr">“So I wore the wedding dress and the veil, I had a bouquet and we had a sign that said ‘I walked down the aisle to your song today’.”</p> <p dir="ltr">Fifi then played a clip of the show in which you can hear Adele target the faux newlyweds and say “Congratulations!” while performing one of her hit songs. </p> <p dir="ltr">“We went to great lengths, but I'm going to point this out,” Fifi said. </p> <p dir="ltr">“Our mission was to get Adele to speak to us, and she looked me in the eye and said ‘congratulations’. Rod Stewart lists $105 million LA mansion

<p>Legendary rocker Rod Stewart has put his mega mansion on the market.</p> <p>The listing comes just days after the star’s former Malibu home was listed for an asking price of $49.5m (AU$74.2m), with the Wall Street Journal first reporting his current Los Angeles compound is asking for $70m (AU$105m).</p> <p>With a European style, situated in the gated enclave of North Beverly Park, the property spans 3,065 sqm with a pool and a soccer field.</p> <p>Although a soccer field is a rarity in LA, it’s no surprise Stewart, 78, is an avid soccer fan.</p> <p>The 78-year-old was even spotted in Malibu playing football with the Scottish national team on the beach after inviting them to play there.</p> <p>The Journal noted that according to sales records, Stewart purchased the property in 1991 for $12,08m. <p>Jennifer Lopez has shared an insight into her gruelling workout routine, revealing it is the best thing for both her physical and mental wellness. </p> <p>The 53-year-old singer and actress told US Weekly how important moving her body is to help keep a positive mental attitude. </p> <p>"It's no secret that fitness is a very important part of my life... I think there's a positive correlation between exercise and mental health," she said. </p> <p>J-Lo's claims have long been backed up by healthcare professionals, with the MentalHealth.org website reading, "Research shows that people who exercise regularly have better mental health and emotional wellbeing, and lower rates of mental illness."</p> <p>"Taking up exercise seems to reduce the risk of developing mental illness... and seems to help in treating some mental health conditions, like depression and anxiety."</p> <p>Lopez went on to say, "When you find a good balance through determination and focus, we're naturally pushing to be the best version of ourselves."</p> <p>She usually begins her workouts "first thing in the morning", which usually means rolling out of bed before 5am. </p> <p>J-Lo regularly mixes up her workouts, explaining, "I'm always evolving and looking for things that keep me excited and motivated."</p> <p>"I'm not afraid to challenge myself, so I'm open to pushing myself, which is what I'm doing right now as I rehearse for my new album, [This Is Me… Now], coming out this summer."</p> <p>Even Jennifer's trainer Tracy Anderson said the pop star goes above and beyond for her health and fitness, pushing herself for maximum results. </p> <p>'"She shows up no matter what, she takes the time seriously, she knows her body, she wants to be herself," Anderson has said.  </p> <p>"She knows that putting in the hard work to get her workout in is part of it."</p> <p><em>Image credits: Getty Images</em></p>

Charlize Theron lists serene Spanish-style home

Anne Heche's official cause of death revealed

<p dir="ltr">Anne Heche’s death has been ruled an accident just days after she was taken off life support.</p> <p dir="ltr">The 53-year-old was pulled out of her burning car after she crashed into a Los Angeles mansion while driving 140km/h on August 5.</p> <p dir="ltr">The actress fell into a coma where the “<a href="https://oversixty.com.au/health/caring/anne-heche-s-blood-test-results-revealed-after-horror-smash" target="_blank" rel="noopener">presence of drugs</a>” was found in her body as she remained on life support.</p> <p dir="ltr">Having been labelled labelled legally dead two days prior, Heche, an organ donor, was <a href="https://oversixty.com.au/news/news/anne-heche-to-be-taken-off-life-support" target="_blank" rel="noopener">taken off life support</a> on August 14 after recipients for her organs were found.</p> <p dir="ltr">On August 17, almost two weeks after the horrific incident, the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner ruled Heche’s death an accident.</p> <p dir="ltr">The ruling read that Heche died due to inhalation of smoke and thermal injuries, with "sternal fracture due to blunt trauma" listed as another "significant condition".</p> <p dir="ltr">The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) also confirmed that the investigation into the crash would not move forward.</p> <p dir="ltr">"As of today, there will be no further investigative efforts made in this case," a spokesperson said.</p> <p dir="ltr">"Any information or records that have been requested prior to this turn of events will still be collected as they arrive as a matter of formalities and included in the overall case.</p> <p dir="ltr">“When a person suspected of a crime expires, we do not present for filing consideration.”</p> <p dir="ltr">Following the news of Heche’s death, her representative issued a statement about the loss of a “joyful soul”.</p> <p dir="ltr">"Today we lost a bright light, a kind and most joyful soul, a loving mother, and a loyal friend," the statement read.</p> <p dir="ltr">"Anne will be deeply missed but she lives on through her beautiful sons, her iconic body of work, and her passionate advocacy.</p> <p dir="ltr">“Her bravery for always standing in her truth, spreading her message of love and acceptance, will continue to have a lasting impact."</p> <p dir="ltr">Heche is survived by her 13-year-old son Atlas, who she shares with actor James Trupper, and 20-year-old son Homer, shared with ex-husband Coleman Laffoon.</p> <p dir="ltr"><em>Image: Getty</em></p>

Anne Heche's blood test results revealed after horror smash

<p dir="ltr">An investigation of Anne Heche’s blood results have detected “the presence of drugs” following <a href="https://www.oversixty.com.au/news/news/new-details-of-actor-anne-heche-s-fiery-crash" target="_blank" rel="noopener">her horror smash</a>.</p> <p dir="ltr">The US actress was pulled out of her burning car after she smashed into a mansion in Los Angeles while driving a terrifying 140km/h on August 5.</p> <p dir="ltr">The 53-year-old suffered severe injuries and soon after the crash fell into a coma and has not regained consciousness since. </p> <p dir="ltr">Almost a week after the incident, a Los Angeles Police Department Public Information Officer confirmed there was a “presence of drugs” in Anne’s blood system. </p> <p dir="ltr">“Based on the blood draw, it revealed the presence of drugs, however additional testing is required to rule out any substances that were administered at the hospital as part of her medical treatment,” they told <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/anne-heche-blood-test-revealed-presence-of-drugs" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Fox News Digital</a>.</p> <p dir="ltr">"Any secondary drugs [takes] up to 30 days for [a] secondary test to come back.” </p> <p dir="ltr">TMZ previously reported that Anne had cocaine in her system upon arrival at the hospital, but that is yet to be confirmed. </p> <p dir="ltr">The crash is currently being investigated by the LAPD who have confirmed that if Anne is found to have been drunk she would face significant charges. </p> <p dir="ltr">"If found intoxicated, [Heche] could be charged with misdemeanour DUI hit and run. Actress fighting for her life after horror car crash

<p>US actress Anne Heche is fighting for her life following a <a href="https://www.oversixty.com.au/news/news/new-details-of-actor-anne-heche-s-fiery-crash" target="_blank" rel="noopener">fiery car crash</a> in Los Angeles.</p> <p>The 53-year-old crashed her Mini Cooper into a house at a great speed, and was subsequently hospitalised with severe burns. </p> <p>According to the New York Post, the star is reportedly in a "critical condition".</p> <p>A spokesperson for Heche told the Post, "Shortly after the accident, Anne Heche became unconscious, slipping into a coma."</p> <p>They explained that Heche, who also crashed into an apartment garage earlier in the day, suffered "significant pulmonary injury requiring mechanical ventilation and burns that require surgical intervention".</p> <p>The Post also reported that the Los Angeles Police Department received a warrant to test the actress' blood, as they worked to determine if the crash was a result of drugs and alcohol.</p> <p>According to the Post, a representative for the LAPD confirmed the warrant was "obtained the same day as the traffic collision, which was August 5. The warrant was to draw blood, and an investigation is ongoing pending the blood test results."</p> <p>"If found intoxicated, [Heche] could be charged with misdemeanour DUI hit and run. New details of actor Anne Heche's fiery crash

<p dir="ltr">A man who witnessed actress Anne Heche’s fiery car crash in Los Angeles has described the life-threatening incident as “horrific” and revealed he could “hardly breathe” while trying to help the trapped star.</p> <p dir="ltr">Lynne Bernstein said he and his wife saw a car driving down their street at a “high rate of speed” before his wife heard Heche’s car crash into their neighbour’s house.</p> <p dir="ltr">Bernstein, who tried to assist Heche out of her blue Mini Cooper, said the flames and smoke made it “hard to breathe”, telling <em>Fox News Digital</em> that Heche was “conscious” but that he didn’t know how “coherent” she was.</p> <p dir="ltr">“The smoke was just getting way too intense, we could hardly breathe,” Bernstein said. “The smoke was making it hard to breathe.”</p> <p dir="ltr">Bernstein added that the tenant whose home Heche crashed into left her house from a side room and was “shocked” at what had happened, telling a group of people to “get out of my house” before realising what had happened.</p> <p dir="ltr">According to Bernstein, another neighbour, Dave Manpearl, asked Heche if she was alright and she rescinded that she wasn’t.</p> <p dir="ltr">Manpeal, who also attempted to rescue Heche from the burning car, exited when flames overtook it, telling the <em>Daily Mail</em> he was “positive” that she was dead.</p> <p dir="ltr">“I was positive that the driver was dead. That she had burned up,” he said “It took at least 30 minutes for the fire department to douse the flames, extract the car and pull her out of the car.”</p> <p dir="ltr">Heche was then transported to a hospital in critical condition, according to emergency responders.</p> <p dir="ltr">A second witness told <em>Fox News Digital</em> the crash “scared the entire neighbourhood”. Yaroslav Borets added that these types of accidents don’t often occur in their neighbourhood.</p> <p dir="ltr">“Something we will remember for a long time,” he said.</p> <p dir="ltr">“This is generally a safe place.”</p> <p dir="ltr">In a statement, the Los Angeles Fire Department said the vehicle had a single occupant when it crashed into a two-storey home built in 1952, and that the occupant was taken to a local hospital by paramedics.</p> <p dir="ltr">“Fifty-nine firefighters took 65 minutes to access, confine and fully extinguish the stubborn flames within the heavily damaged structure and rescued one female adult found within the vehicle who has been taken to an area hospital by LAFD Paramedics in critical condition,” the <a href="https://www.lafd.org/alert/knockdown-structure-fire-08052022-inc0707" target="_blank" rel="noopener">statement</a> read.</p> <p dir="ltr">According to <em>FOX 11</em>, no other injuries were reported and the cause of the crash is still under investigation.</p> <p dir="ltr">It has also emerged  that Heche joked about drinking vodka and chasing it down with wine on an episode of <a href="https://podcasts.apple.com/au/podcast/better-together-w-anne-heche-and-heather-duffy/id1534627568" target="_blank" rel="noopener">her podcast</a> that was released on the day of the crash - which has since been removed from the internet.</p> <p dir="ltr">Heche and her co-host Heather Duffy spoke about drinking vodka supplied by a podcast sponsor and chasing it with white wine, with Heche opening up about having a “bad day”.</p> <p dir="ltr">“I don’t know what happened, sometimes days just suck and I don’t know if you ever have them [but] some days, those no good, very bad days, and some days days just end up like this,” Heche told listeners.</p> <p><span id="docs-internal-guid-54905d80-7fff-9234-94d6-26e2f6f4753b"></span></p> <p dir="ltr">“Sometimes days just suck and I don’t know if you ever have them, but you know some days, Mama says just gonna be like this. <p>Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have officially tied the knot and it seems they’ve celebrated their nuptials by living large and purchasing a lavish new property.</p> <p>The two stars were spotted house hunting back in May, and in June, it was reported that they had settled on a stunning Beverly Hills mansion that was once owned by Danny DeVito.</p> <p>While the couple has yet to confirm if they have purchased the property, moving vehicles were also reportedly spotted outside of each of their respective homes, leading many to believe that they have now moved into the mansion together.</p> <p>Lopez and Affleck's rumored new abode was most recently owned by Australian billionaire James Packer, who's the former fiancé of Mariah Carey.</p> <p>DeVito and Perlman sold the seven-bedroom home in 2015 for $28 million to developers Stuart and Stephanie Liner. The Liners then made numerous upgrades to the estate and listed it for $85 million. Packer then bought the property for around $60 million in 2018.</p> <p>It's unclear what Lopez and Affleck paid for the house, and there's a shroud of mystery surrounding the deal, since the house was not even listed for sale when they reportedly bought it.</p> <p>In fact, real estate experts have said it hadn't even been shown off-market, with the exception, potentially, being to Lopez and Affleck.</p> <p>The house sprawls across 29,000-square-feet, which would allow ample space for the couple's blended brood of five children.</p> <p>The massive estate is also said to have many luxury amenities and perks, including an at-home movie theater, a hair salon, a gym, an entertainment room, a wine cellar, a sprawling pool, and even multiple guest houses.</p> <p>The marble kitchen is a chef’s dream, complete with two ovens, an 11-burner stove, two islands, and multiple drawers and cabinets for optimal storage space.</p> <p>The spacious dining area can seat up to 12 people, so the family will certainly have enough space to stretch out during dinner time.</p> <p>The master bedroom is fit for royalty and comes with an enormous walk-in closet with rows upon rows of storage for the couple's glamorous wardrobes.</p> <p>The mansion sits on 1.29 acres of land, and it also comes complete with an eight-car garage.</p> <p>The couple was spotted shopping for homes around various swanky areas of Los Angeles for several months before reportedly making the purchase.</p> <p><em>Images: Hilton &amp; Hyland</em></p>

JLo and Ben Affleck finally tie the knot 20 years later

<p dir="ltr">Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have (finally) tied the knot!</p> <p dir="ltr">The Hollywood couple have been engaged for three months for a second time and said their vows in an intimate ceremony in Vegas. </p> <p dir="ltr">Affleck first proposed to Lopez, now known as Mrs Jennifer Lynn Affleck, 20 years ago. </p> <p dir="ltr">Mrs Affleck confirmed to her beloved fans the news in her personal newsletter, On The JLo, and shared beautiful stories from the event. </p> <p dir="ltr">“WE DID IT!” she began.</p> <p dir="ltr">“We did it. Love is beautiful. Love is kind. And it turns out love is patient. Twenty years patient.</p> <p dir="ltr">“Exactly what we wanted. Last night we flew to Vegas, stood in line for a license with four other couples, all making the same journey to the wedding capital of the world.”</p> <p dir="ltr">Mrs Affleck said there were different couples around them who were “wanting the same thing” as they waited patiently for their turn. </p> <p dir="ltr">“We barely made it to the little white wedding chapel by midnight. They graciously stayed open late a few minutes, let us take pictures in a pink Cadillac convertible, evidently once used by the king himself (but if we wanted Elvis himself to show, that cost extra and he was in bed),” she joked. </p> <p dir="ltr">“So with the best witnesses you could ever imagine, a dress from an old movie and a jacket from Ben’s closet, we read our own vows in the little chapel and gave one another the rings we’ll wear for the rest of our lives. </p> <p dir="ltr">“They even had Bluetooth for a (short) march down the aisle. But in the end it was the best possible wedding we could have imagined. </p> <p dir="ltr">“One we dreamed of long ago and one made real (in the eyes of the state, Las Vegas, a pink convertible and one another) at very, very long last.</p> <p dir="ltr">“When love is real, the only thing that matters in marriage is one another and the promise we make to love, care, understand, be patient, loving and good to one another. </p> <p dir="ltr">“We had that. And so much more. Best night of our lives. Thank you to the Little White Wedding chapel for letting me use the break room to change while Ben changed in the men’s room.</p> <p dir="ltr">“They were right when they said, ‘all you need is love’. Melrose Place star's son found dead at 27

<p dir="ltr">The son of <em>General Hospital</em> and <em>Melrose Place</em> actor Jack Wagner has been found dead in a car park.</p> <p dir="ltr">Harrison Wagner was only 27 years old when his body was found in a carpark in Los Angeles, California at 5.14am on Monday. </p> <p dir="ltr">His cause of death remains unknown as investigations continue. </p> <p dir="ltr">Jack, 64, declined to comment about his son’s death when Page Six contacted him. </p> <p dir="ltr">It was no secret that Harrison previously struggled with drugs and alcohol and it is unclear if that contributed to his death. </p> <p dir="ltr">Jack said his son had disappeared for a week back in 2016 and was worried about his addiction. </p> <p dir="ltr">"I'm going to ask those who want to share their fears, addictions &amp; struggles to do so w me via Twitter. We can face them 2gether, I'll start," Jack wrote on Twitter at the time.</p> <p dir="ltr">"I fear for my youngest sons safety.</p> <p dir="ltr">"Harrison has struggled w drugs &amp; alcohol just as I did when I was younger. "Let's do it!" How this couple came to be married mid-flight

<p>A couple from the US have eloped onboard a Southwest flight, after their elopement in Vegas fell through. </p> <p>The couple from Oklahoma, Pam Patterson and Jeremy Salda, were flying from Dallas to Las Vegas to get married in a chapel on the Vegas strip. </p> <p>However, when their flight was cancelled, their elopement was thrown into disarray. </p> <p>While thinking of a plan B, the couple got talking with Chris Kilgora, who was also destined to be on their cancelled flight. </p> <p>When the couple told Chris of their situation, he told them that he was an ordained minister and would be happy to marry them himself.</p> <p>The three travellers booked flights on the next plane from Dallas to Las Vegas, and made it onto their Southwest flight with just minutes to spare. </p> <p>As the couple were dressed in their wedding attire, the captain began talking with Pam and Jeremy at the gate and joked about them getting married on the plane. </p> <p>Astonishingly, they said, "Let's do it!"</p> <p>The Southwest cabin crew decorated the plane with anything they could find, while air hostess Julie stepped in as Pam's maid of honour. </p> <p>The couple were married 37,000 feet in the air by the ordained minister in a ceremony none of the staff, or other travellers, are likely to ever forget. </p> <p>One traveller handed around a notepad for everyone to write their names and seat numbers as a makeshift guest book, while a professional photographer who was onboard immortalised the ceremony with offical wedding snaps. </p> <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"> <p dir="ltr" lang="en">Pam and Jeremy were traveling on one of our competitors to elope in Vegas when their final leg from DFW to LAS was canceled. Two US cops fired after abandoning a robbery to play Pokemon Go

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Two US police officers have been fired after they went off to chase virtual Pokemon creatures instead of responding to a robbery. </span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Eric Mitchell and Louis Lozano were cruising the streets searching for Pokemon in the augmented reality smartphone game, and abandoned their jobs in the process. </span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">An in-car recording revealed that the pair heard the call for help during a robbery at a Los Angeles department store, and decided to drive away. </span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“Officer Mitchell alerted Lozano that ‘Snorlax’ ‘just popped up’,” legal documents show.</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“For approximately the next 20 minutes, the (recording) captured petitioners discussing Pokemon as they drove to different locations where the virtual creatures apparently appeared on their mobile phones.”</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The officers caught the virtual Snorlax before turning their attention to a much harder creature to conquer. </span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“Holy crap, man. This thing is fighting the crap out of me,” Mitchell said of the Pokemon, according to the documents, which were published last week.</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Both officers were charged with multiple counts of misconduct, and admitted to failing to respond to the robbery, but denied they had been playing Pokemon Go. </span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The smartphone game took the world by storm in 2016, with users searching for fantastical creatures using the real world through their smartphone screens. </span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Despite challenging the court’s ruling and upholding the notion they were not playing the game at the time of the robbery, both men were charged and fired from their jobs with the Los Angeles Police Department. </span></p> <p><em><span style="font-weight: 400;">Image credits: Getty Images</span></em></p>

Manhunt after tragic death from random stabbing attack

<p dir="ltr">A 24-year-old was killed in what police describe as a random stabbing attack while working at a high-end furniture store last Thursday.</p> <p dir="ltr">Brianna Kupfer, a UCLA student, was working at Croft House in Los Angeles when she was stabbed by who police believe to be a homeless man. The suspect stabbed her before fleeing through the back door and down an alley.</p> <p dir="ltr">A customer found Brianna 20 minutes later, and she was pronounced dead on the scene soon after.</p> <p dir="ltr">Police said of the incident, “Detectives have determined the suspect was not known to the victim and [it] was a random walk into the store. The suspect attacked the victim with a knife and fled the scene through the back door.”</p> <p dir="ltr">Dr Jennifer Botelho, who owns a chiropractic practice next door, told CBS LA the attack was “horrifying”, saying, “It’s horrible. She’s such a young girl. … We feel so horrible for Brianna’s family, and hope we can catch this guy.”</p> <p dir="ltr">She added that the suspect visited her business shortly before the attack. “He came in and asked a couple of questions: ‘Do you do orthopaedics here?’ What kind of care we provide, and then he left. So he was just here for a few minutes,” Dr Botelho said.</p> <p dir="ltr">Ms Kupfer’s father told CBS she was “loved by all”.
